Chelsea the Wonder Pup they call me. I've been to so many of Auntie Sue's classes I can finish her jokes. And, now I am a therapy dog with a special pink vest. I learned to retrieve in one of Sue's classes, so my Daddy lost the bet with Mama. Anyhoo, I think all you pups in Sue's class should go over and give her a big slurp for me. |
Terry Ballard and 'Bailey' after a grueling training session at class. 'Bailey' is the second Ballard dog who lists Auntie Sue as her favorite teacher. 'Bailey' is now in her third class as has been voted hall monitor. Her Daddy was voted most likely to fall asleep. |

Remi models his outerwear. A puppy class member (SPRING '09) since 9 weeks, Remi plans a career as a Therapy Dog and models outstanding behavior and fashion sense. His owner Lyn, trained her former dogs with Sue over twenty years ago, and introduced Remi by saying, "Here's your Auntie Sue. Remember that one in our scrapbook?" Remi was voted Best Dressed in his puppy class and seeks an entry level position at Brooks Brothers. |
"Hey Sue! I was the star in class the first night, wasn't I? I took one for the team, and learned to quit jumping up on people with your little magic bean bag. Oh well........at least I got this comfy bed to bring to class. It's just right to lie on and watch the other pets. That little Einstein is almost as smart as me! Love you a lot! Your pal forever, Bernie. |
| Ruby, aka 'The Pizazz Pup' demonstrates her skill at hide and seek. Her owners Tony and Arleen spent a week looking for her. Oh there she is! At her first dog show, where she won her class and the prize for 'best family pet with double life as a show dog.' She is in her second puppy class (spring '09) and will soon be on the hide and seek Olympic team. Look for Ruby at a dog show near you!

| Logan, a private training star and soon to enroll in puppy school, demonstrates his skill at earth moving. He's joined the Lab Diggers Assoc, where he holds the post of 'Earth Mover First Order.' Logan's story of how he recovered from trauma, the most severe case of trauma in a pup I've seen, is our 'Case of the Month' for June. Tune in and find out what happened to Logan.

| The three musketeers of Goldens. I met #1, Tucker, a week after his adoption from Golden rescue. Raised outdoors on a cement patio, Tucker was initially too fearful to enter the house, walk across the kitchen floor or sleep in the house. After our initial in home session, Tucker came to group classes, and now snores in the bedroom. #2, Bailey, also from Golden Retrieve rescue, was so fearful she ran away from the group and scrambled to get back to her car! But, she did remain in classes long enough to graduate. #3 Parker, came to his house of Goldens at seven weeks, and started classes at nine weeks. He shone in both his puppy classes and start, with his friend Zoey, a Basic Companionship class May '09. Look for these three in their RV splashed with a Golden mural on the side! |
