                                            Phone Consultations

Alexander Graham Bell was the dog’s best friend. He invented the telephone and within hours, you’ll have  practical solutions you’ll use immediately. No, you won’t talk to Alex you’ll talk to me. I know a lot more about dogs than he did. Besides, his Scottish accent would be impossible to understand. Even for Scotties.

The fee for a Phone Consultation is 100.00

  Q. What problems can be solved with Telephone Training?

 A. Everything. No problem that is addressed in a class or House Call Session is exempt. You tell me the problem and I’ll help you understand and solve it.

Q. Can my husband and I be on the same phone call at the same time? Like the old style party lines?

A. No. It is confusing and ineffective to track several conversations at once. Your husband can participate by making the list prior to the call to help us keep everything straight.

Q. I have so many problems with my pet I don’t know where to start. How can we make sense of this? I’m just exhausted trying to fix all these problems.

A. Make a list. Which are the top two worst problems? We’ll tackle those and most likely, get more cleared away, too. After you’ve experienced how powerful my Telephone Training is you can make another appointment.

Q. How can I make the most of our time?

A. Make a prioritized list of what you’d like to accomplish and listen. I’ll make sure the solutions are simple enough to be accomplished and effective.

Q. My dog was a rescue. Can you help him? We don’t know his background.

A. Yes, I can help. Most of my personal dogs were rescues and I train many dogs who come into a home as adults. To use our time well, let’s talk about the dog as he is now, and skip the story of the rescue, what the rescue group told you, how the dog behaved at the foster home or  what the shelter personnel told you. The more we talk about your dog in the present and not the past, the more effective I can be.

Q. My dog has bitten my child. How can you help unless you see my child interact with the dog? Don’t you need to re create the situation?

A. No. I never re create a situation in which a person of any age could be bitten. Remember, I’ve helped thousands of families, with children ranging in age from infancy to teenagers. No House Call Session is set up to endanger humans and neither is Telephone Training.

Q. I’m confused. My last trainer said that she had to see the dog in his own environment. How can you train a dog from a remote location?

A. House Calls are available for owners who want me to see the living room. But, if you live in outer Montana and it’s winter or you live in Orange County and need the most convenience Telephone Training is sure a help. And, after three decades plus training and assessing dogs in the owners’ home, I can effectively help over the phone.

Q. What else can I learn in Telephone Training?

A. Here's the list of last months' calls..."What breed of dog is best for me?" "How do I find a good breeder" "Is a pet shop puppy going to be a good pet?" "My new rescue dog seems depressed...what can I do?" "How do I teach my dog to signal that she has to go out?" "How do I get my puppy to stop biting me?" "How can I teach my dog to drop the ball when I try to play fetch with him?" "What can I do to get my dog to stop getting carsick?

 Q. Okay. I need help now. What’s the way to get you on the phone?

A. Send me an email at suemyles@gmail.com asking for Telephone Training. I'll reply and we'll set up a time to talk, pronto.
