Complete the first step on your dog's road to becoming a Therapy Dog. Get a discount on your homeowners' insurance (maybe) and add the suffix CGC to your dog's name. Enjoy bragging rights and a ribbon!

AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program rewards dogs and their owners for the time and effort put in to their training. The test includes a wide variety of behaviors and commands that all canine good citizens should know.

1. Accepting a Friendly Stranger

2. Sitting Politely For Petting

3. Appearance and Grooming

4. Out For A Walk (Walking On A Loose Leash)

5. Walking Through A Crowd

6. Sit and Down Command (Stay In Place)

7. Coming When Called

8. Reaction To Another Dog

9. Reaction To Distractions

10. Supervised Separation

This class includes a Guarantee to Pass Test - Keep trying until you do!

This is not a training class. Your dog should be able to successfully complete all exercises before enrollment. Please enroll in other classes if your dog is not trained up to this level.

Payment Terms: A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot in class, the balance will be due on the first day of class. Balance for class - $125 for Check, made out to Sue Myles, or Cash. (Total for class is $150) I do not take debit or credit cards, Zelle, Venmo, or any payment except cash or check.
